When should I get my ductwork cleaned?

The industry says between every 3 - 7 years your ductwork should be cleaned. Their are a lot of factors involved that determine this decision. Several of them being, how many people, how much foot traffic, amounts of dust, pets, kids, frequently in and out of the house...

We do however recommend you get them cleaned when 1) Moving into a new place. You never know what the previous person(s) have done or did. 2) After a large or dusty construction project. Dust can and will circulate through your system and all over your house. 3) If you are sensitive to air quality and feel that the air is stale. 4) If you have had fire, smoke, or water damage. Anything porous inside your ductwork will hold the scents or moisture and should be removed to help eliminate any smells or potential of molds. Call us 215-500-5845

Will getting my ductwork cleaned save me money?

I cant rule out that it wont over the long haul of your systems life. However the likelihood that it saves you money on your electric or gas bill is pretty slim. Duct cleanings and frequently changing your filters will increase the life span of your air handler, or heater. Call us 215-500-5845

Are dirty Dryer Vents a fire hazard?

YES!!! Dryer vents should be cleaned every 1 -2 years. It doesnt take long for lint to build up and snowball into a full blockage or clog. If so Call us 215-500-5845

Are there signs of a blocked or clogged dryer?

Yes! Call us immediately! This is a fire hazard 1) If heavy cottons like jeans or blankets are not drying in one cycle. Moisture can not escape. Call us 215-500-5845 2) If you cant keep your hand on top of the dryer because it is to hot. Obviously it is going to get hot because of the heating element.
